I am somewhere over the Pacific Ocean about 1½ hours out of LA International Airport on my way back home to Sydney, Australia as I commence putting pen to paper to write this personal and reflective note on my three day "Goddess" journey with Emerald Fantasy.
I have, for want of a better description, an alter ego called Wendy and she has been the principal reason for my trip to Seattle WA.
You see, I need to establish where Wendy fits into my life and what is her future journey and how the entirely different characters/personalities can accept each other and live in harmony together.
The journey really began a number of months ago when I finally stopped looking at the Emerald Fantasy website and hit the "send" button on the e-mail. Soon enough, there I was in Seattle, Washington, 3:45pm, outside the address given to me... and I had just pressed the buzzer as the doors were closed because of the Independence Day holiday. The waiting seconds seemed like hours with all those last reflecting thoughts occurring (i.e. are you are weirdo, are you sure this is what you want, not to late to walk away, etc). Then it is too late... the door opens and a smiling and happy faced says "Wendy, I'm Angel - come in".
This is Wendy's story of her three day Emerald Fantasy Goddess Adventure.
Day 1
I sit down on the lounge suite soaking up the room's atmosphere and Angel's personality. There is small talk going on, get the client relaxed, etc - I've been through this process, on both sides, many times before. Then I meet one of the "girls" who also have offices and/or lockers at the building which houses the Emerald Fantasy salon. She is slim, has an attractive figure, is at a guess 5'10" and is dressed in a denim skirt and casual top. She has really great legs and is obviously a girl that knows how to party - maybe someday I'll join her.
Angel establishes the style of lady I wish to be... and the next time I see myself I'm in a bra, panties and hose sitting in a chair whilst Angel studies my facial structure and tones in preparation for the make-up process.
Unlike during a previous (and only) make-over that Wendy had undertaken, Angel was very specific in going for a "natural as possible" look. In the end, the make-over, hair colour and style and dress really made Wendy. She could not believe her eyes - everything was suitable and her male alter ego had vanished both physically and mentally.
After the obligatory photo session in numerous dress combinations it was time for Wendy's thing - shopping. However, as easy as that may seem, Wendy had never been out in public... much less in broad daylight... but there she was in a knee length grey skirt and pink top... stepping into a 4x4 for her first shopping trip. The feeling was indescribable and full of mixed emotions (excitement, nervousness, extreme achievement). It was one giant step for Wendy.
Angel is driving and conducting a quick sightseeing tour in the process, and the next thing I know I'm stepping out of the car and walking toward the JC Penny Store at Northgate Mall. Inside, we peruse racks and racks of fashions... the nervousness subsides... and there I am heading for the change room with clothes galore in hand.
In the end, two dresses (one casual the other more formal) plus a skirt & top combination, bra, briefs, hose and shoe purchases were made. It was nice to have my "guardian" Angel in support. The young sales clerk didn't "make" Wendy until we talked and then she didn't miss a beat - Seattle is really laid back.
The ladies restroom journey was another first and another lesson gained - relax Wendy, relax. Then off to Ray's Boathouse, one of the best seafood restaurants in Seattle, for dinner - got a window table; great sunset view, good food, excellent company and more photos.
Wendy was still soaking in all the events of the past six hours knowing the evening was coming to a close. She was still not ready to return to her hotel en-femme. Clothes purchased earlier were left behind for tomorrow's modeling session.
Day 2
Today is an early start - 2 pm. The strategy is more of the same - change, modeling new clothes, photos, shopping for more clothes and cosmetics and then dinner. Wendy is determined to be more relaxed.
Meet another one of the local girls, who is experimenting with a few different looks - great and abundant cleavage being shown.
Angel tries a different make-up look to go with clothes purchased previous day and different hair styles/colour. Wendy continues to be more than pleasantly surprised. More modeling of clothes and photos makes a pleasant divergence before embarking on the shopping trip to the downtown area.
This is going to be Wendy's big challenge - walking and mixing with people in the retail district. For this adventure Wendy has worn a chocolate summer skirt with a mauve top and 3" heels. [Angel's Note: Wendy is 5'6"... so she can get away with wearing 3" heels... don't most of you try this and expect to pass!] Angel as usual does the driving and offers plenty of encouragement - the next thing I know we are in the car park and time to mix it with the general populace.
We are walking in the Seattle Downtown retail district and unfortunately, Wendy still has the phobia that everyone is looking at her and finds this disconcerting. Anyhow, we make it to Bon-Macy's and the hunt for clothes continues. It is only when Wendy enters the change room with another bundle of clothes to try on that she understands the looks/attention on the streets - the breast form nipples are showing through the bra and top she is wearing. Yeah, the guys were thinking "wouldn't you like to get your hands on those" whilst the girls thoughts were "nice but shameless bitch". It goes to show, some things left to the imagination are more seductive that the real thing.
Anyway I digress; Wendy purchases a lovely sleeveless summer skirt suit and a light top to make those nipples less prominent. There were numerous potential items - pity about the sizing inconsistencies. Oh, the formal gown availability was something from a Cinderella movie - damn those budgets. Once again, the sales lady does not "make" Wendy until she talks, but no problems.
Angel then provides excellent and tasteful advice on the cosmetic front. What initially started as a handful of supplies ended up a shopping basket load of goodies.
Wendy's shopping is now complete and we head back to the car and work out our dining options. We agree on Mexican - it a new and pleasant experience for Wendy.
The evening is coming to a quick close. However, instead of changing, Wendy heads back to her hotel en-femme: the heart flutters and the butterflies in the stomach syndromes re-emerge - this is another test of confidence so subtly suggested/ introduced by Angel.
Angel drives Wendy to her hotel and she ends up sharing the lift with four other people, Nothing happens - why the stress levels? I am passable.
Day 3
Today will be a further test. No matter what Wendy thinks, it is really Angel that is subtly drawing her out into the public arena through a mixture of support and installing confidence. The broad plan for today is to get changed, a small walk around the retail district, take in a movie and have a late dinner to finish off the evening.
Angel prepares a different look again - this time Wendy avoids the mirror until fully made up and dressed (yesterday's purchase). The outcome is a total shock for Wendy - there is no other way to describe this moment than to quote her statement "I know a guy that would go out with me without any notice" (have some photos to prove it).
We head off for Downtown Seattle hoping to catch the 6.15pm showing of Farenheight 9/11. Our timing is immaculate and we are in our seats with only minutes to spare. Angel does the usual American thing - large coke and a monstrous container of pop corn (it was actually a small size but it would have been beyond my eating capacity). About half way through the movie the fire alarm goes off and the whole cinema complex is evacuated. This was an unexpected and good test for Wendy - walking with guys, girls, couples, the young and the not so young in the evacuation process. Nothing said by anybody - what a great confidence boost. [Angel's Note: The movie theatre fire alarm episode was not only a first for an Emerald Fantasy adventure... but the first time in my lifetime! But Wendy handled it superbly]
After about 20 minutes clearance is given for re-entry (any yet another test) and continuation of the movie. Free passes for another show are given to all patrons for the inconvenience - an excellent gesture.
Movie finishes and once again that dreaded place - the ladies restroom. Wendy is still not comfortable in this area - a lot more relaxing required.
We go across the road for drinks and dinner and before you know it, father time is stopping the clock and its time to head back, take a few more photos and change in appearance and personality.
Angel drives Wendy back to the hotel, receives a commitment that this journey will be detailed, a hug or two later and disappearing car tail lights clearly signal the "Goddess" adventure is concluded.
Epilogue
The adventure as such has been completed but the journey has just began for Wendy. She has been shown she is not alone, been given a good level of confidence and numerous handy hints on passibility. Where she takes it from here will require further deliberation and concurrence with her "alter ego" - That may present the greatest challenge.
The adventure described above has been the awakening of Wendy because she has now truly made her first public appearance. Whilst undertaking the goddess package is more than a half way point in such an awakening it still requires someone to nurture the good points, install confidence, provide appropriate hints & help and when out & about to know when to give space and when to support - Angel does that.
Truly Angel by name, Angel by nature.
Many thanks for a wonderful adventure and lots of love.
